And one of the best ways to do that is to let you see your own data in its migrated form before you commit to purchasing our services. This way, you see exactly what you’ll get in advance.
And, over time, we've also discovered that there's no better way to expose incorrect assumptions and unasked questions. This has meant that we avoid doing a delete and reload that is costly and inconvenient for both of us.
First, if you are migrating from ACT!, you send us your ACT! database (for instructions on copying your ACT! data, CLICK HERE). If you are migrating from a different data source, send us CSV (Comma Separated Value) files from your database's export function. Next, you'll need to provide us with administrator login credentials for your Salesforce instance.
We will then extract an approximately 500-record random sample of your Contacts (using an optional date filter if desired) along with the associated Company information plus all the Activities, History, and Notes related to those Contacts. We’ll next create up to 25 fields to hold your data that doesn't map to standard Salesforce fields. Please note that optional services such as Opportunities, Secondary Contacts, Attachments, Events as Events, and Recurring Activities are NOT included in the free test migration.
Then, review the test data. If you have questions, we’ll answer them. If there are issues or errors in the test migration, we will rerun it until you are satisfied.
Most importantly, you have no financial obligation until you are ready to run your full data migration.
